In a word or two- "Worthwhile teenage angst film"
This is a french film. Clara's Summer is a teenage coming of age, coming
to terms with your sexuality film. Its good, well enough acted and the chemistry between the two love interests is good as well. Teenagers might find this relatable.

In a word or two- "Terrible acting"
This has to be the most over rated lesbian films of all time. It is appalling that it is so often compared to the masterpiece "Desert Hearts". So many people love this movie! So we recommend renting it and deciding for yourself.
The storyline centers around D. Noel Benedict who is attending a writers retreat and immediately forms a volatile relationship with the promiscuous
Claire
Jabrowski.

What just kills this film is the horrible acting.

In a word or two- "Great cast, very good writing"
The storyline of the movie is very good. It centers on an Indian lesbian Reena (played by writer
Neesha Ganatra) and her relationship with her not so accepting family, as well as her girlfriend. Maybe unintentionally, but it is very funny at times. It is wonderfully written and the actresses do a great job.
Again, this movie has wonderful supporting characters.
Madhur Jaffrey as Reena's mother brings so much to the movie, even though she has some growing to do, she is just a delight.
It's about family, its about love.
